Starting a Nonprofit

The Connecticut Urban Legal Initiative, Inc. CULI and The Nonprofit Pro Bono Initiative NPBI are here to help. If you are an existing nonprofit organization or a group seeking to establish yourself as a nonprofit, and you need some non-litigation legal assistance, you should contact us to see whether we can provide that legal advice. CULI can assist primarily urban clients across Connecticut, and will normally assign a law student to work with a CULI staff attorney to help you through your legal challenges. NPBI can assist clients throughout the greater Hartford area and in communities where the volunteer lawyers live. NPBI will assign a volunteer lawyer from a local partner corporation or law firm to work with you to solve your legal problem. Contact us at (860) 570-5401 to see whether we can meet your legal needs, and whether you are eligible for that help.
