The Library also provides Assistive listening devices. These head phones are used with the sound system in learning lab and program room to enhance the instructor's voice for those who are hearing impaired.
The learning lab has additional software and hardware for people with disabilities. There is an array of pointing devices to help people with hand or arm disabilities. We have alternative keyboards to accommodate low vision or ergonomic problems. A push-button, adjustable height workstation allows a person in a large wheelchair to participate in our computer classes.
If you require special accommodations to participate in a program, please contact Access Assistance at 860-695-6372, two weeks prior to the program.
